Neil Shawcross

Shawcross attended Bolton College of Art 1955-58 and Lancaster College of Art 1958-60. He came to Belfast as a part-time lecturer at the College of Art in 1962. He has remained in Ulster ever since, and teaches foundation studies at the Art and Design Centre, University of Ulster.

Shawcross's gentle, childlike approach has won him many admirers and he is active in teaching art to children. Shawcross has lived in Hillsborough County Down for many years and is a compulsive hoarder of bric-a-brac and nostalgic ephemera.
