Victor Sloan

Victor Sloan studied at Belfast College of Art 1964-69 and later at Leeds College of Art. He works in Portadown, County Armagh. He won a British Council travel award to Germany in 1991 and in 1994 a bursary from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Dublin to travel to Poland. In 1977 he won a British Council Travel Award to the United States.

Sloan has developed a unique personal style by combining elements of drawing and photography, and is one of Ireland's major living artists. He has exhibited regularly with the Royal Ulster Academy since 1984.
