Scott
Born in Londonderry in 1920, James Scott worked during the
Second World War as an instrument maker, was transferred to
the War Department R.E.M.E. in West Africa. After demobilisation
became Chief Technician at Queen's University, C. Eng. Department
engaged in design, drawing and manufacture of equipment for
research.
Studied portrait painting under John Turner and John Luke
in the early '60s. Painted landscapes and still life in oils
and water colours. Held solo exhibitions in Jordan, Hillsborough
and Belfast and exhibits annually in the RUA exhibiton..
