The son of the distinguished geographer
Professor Emyr Estyn Evans, David Evans went to school
in Belfast and was trained as an architect at Liverpool
University. He became a lecturer in the School of
Architecture, Queen's University, Belfast. He shares
with most of his family a love of painting, mainly
in watercolour. His main subject matter is the landscape
and townscape of Belfast and Ulster. Queen's University
commissioned a watercolour of the Lanyon Building
for their 150th anniversary.
